Happy New Year all!

And what's new at Blueberry Glass?

Well, some new products have been added to the shopping pages of the web site! Lots of our customers love the glass bowls and dishes we produce and keep coming back for more, but we wanted to do something that compliments our range. So take a look at the new glass wall panels, available in Blue and Aqua and fitted with brass plate hooks ready for hanging.

Yachts drifting on a cool azure ocean, we hope these will sail you to faraway places ;-)

Another new addition to the blog is a chance to see all the spectacular photographs of our stunning fused glass. Select one of our products and enlarge to see as much detail as possible!

Ta da! Enjoy..... ;-)

Somerset Art Week

Phew! What a busy time for Blueberry Glass! We've just finished taking part in Somerset Art Week. This bi-annual event saw Blueberry at two locations - Seabreeze Gallery at Burnham on Sea and Myrtle Farm in Moorlynch, near Bridgwater.

Many people seem to do a 'tour' of particular areas of the county during Art Week, as there are usually small clusters of artists to be found tucked away in villages, down winding country lanes and sometimes the most unusual locations!

We had the most beautiful exhibition space at Myrtle Farm - a converted barn with high exposed beams, white washed stripped floorboards and a view across a Somerset orchard and the levels beyond. Wonderful!

This is one of the exhibits at Seabreeze. Called simply 'Kilve', it's inspired by the textures of the rocks and pebbles at Kilve Beach on the Somerset coast. The panel is the result of several firings and is held on the wall with two solid aluminium mounts. These hold the panel 40mm away from the wall allowing the light to pass through and for the colours and textures to come alive!

Although Art Week is now over for another two years, our Gallery Glass can be found in other art spaces. Please contact us for some more information here.

What's hot? At the moment, its cool! This is Aegean our most popular design, a stunning bowl available gift boxed in 2 sizes from our web site www.blueberryglass.co.uk. All our designs are inspired by colours from the ocean, from clear azure to cool intense cobalt blue - a wonderful gift or a sumptuous table centrepiece don't you think?

You'll have already visited our website - www.blueberryglass.co.uk to see our fantastic range of glass bowls and dishes with colours inspired by the ocean. Diary of Events

27th & 28th October
Sherborne Craft Market, Digby Hall, Sherborne, Dorset.

A true craft event where you can start your Christmas shopping in style. There are plenty of crafts represented here, all made in the West Country and hand selected for this show, now in its 34th year!

2nd November
Powderham Castle, Nr Exeter, Devon

In aid of the Army Benevolence Fund, this show is in the wonderful setting of Powderham Castle. A new show for Blueberry Glass - we're looking forward to a very busy day!

11th & 12th November

Hestercombe Gardens, Nr Taunton, Somerset.

If you've never been to Hestercombe before, what beter time to visit than at Christmas! The house at Hestercombe throws its doors open for their annual Christmas Shopping event. A very popular show, we advise to get there early. Usually there are refreshments and music/singers adding to the festive spirit. And you can walk off the early mince pies with a stroll around the beautiful gardens by Gertrude Jeykell - a must not miss for your diary!

18th & 19th November

A fabulous lifestyle show with the finest gifts and food the West Country has to offer. Blueberry Glass is here again this year after a very successful '05 - again a very busy show and early arrival is recomended!
